A little About Us
Accountability, Traceability & Sustainability.
Sakami Farm, located in Berbeton at the foot of Mt. Elgon, thrives at an altitude of 1,800m above sea level. This former frontier is home to the famous Mt. Elgon National Park, known for its salt-licking elephants and mineral-rich caves. The farm enjoys rich volcanic soils, a favorable tropical climate as well as fresh water flowing from the underground springs and rivers, creating the perfect conditions for our specialty Arabica coffee, Haas avocados and Macadamia.
We are committed to preserving biodiversity and promoting sustainability. The farm has a protected wetland spanning 6 hectares, that not only provides a year-round water source but also supports a diverse ecosystem, attracting birds, frogs, small gazelles, aardvarks, monkeys, wild rabbits, and crested cranes. We employ the use solar generated power for a majority of activities on the farms.
